During his 20 years in the game industry, Rafael Chandler worked as a story designer and scriptwriter at over a dozen video game studios, including Sony, Ubisoft, Gameloft, and Kabam.

 

He's written four novels: Mask Beneath Her Face, The Astounding Antagonists, Dracula: The Modern Prometheus (written with Mary Shelley and Bram Stoker), and Hexcommunicated. He's currently working on a new novel.

 

In 2013, Chandler created ViewScream, the world's first live action online game. ViewScream, which was designed for video chat software, combines role-playing, improvisational theater, interactive storytelling, and strategy into a single exhilarating experience.

 

He's lectured at the Montreal International Game Summit, taught the 6-hour master class at the 2007 Russian Game Developers Conference in Moscow, and delivered the keynote at the 2020 Playful by Design Symposium. He's also been a guest speaker at numerous universities and conferences.

 

By day, he designs the escape rooms at Whole Brain Escape. His creations include Bustin' Out of the Eighties, Pirates of the Carolina Coast, and Curse of the Crimson Dragon.

 

In his spare time, he writes nonfiction books, magazine articles, comic books, and murder mystery dinner party games.
